In the 26th minute, 潘铮延 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 李翀迅 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th minute 高平坚 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 李翀迅 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 高平坚 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 李翀迅 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 潘铮延 in the 32nd minute of play. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 高平坚 ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by 潘铮延 in the 42nd minute of play forced Birmingham City Football's goalkeeper 李翀迅 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 高平坚 in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 李翀迅 saved Birmingham City Football from getting behind. 潘铮延 struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. 李翀迅 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 广东潮州九头蛇俱乐部队. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 65th match minute, Birmingham City Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 乔勇飞 to maneuver through the defense. 潘铮延s short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got 李翀迅 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, 潘铮延 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 李翀迅. Birmingham City Football's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 潘铮延 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 杜强亦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 乔勇飞 in the 73rd minute of play. 杜强亦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 乔勇飞, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 乔勇飞 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. 杜强亦 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 高平坚 couldn't finish the play.
