In the 35th minute 胡亮骏 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 李烨辉 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, 张雄竞 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. 肖斐国 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 肖斐国 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 周坤星 in the 41st minute of the match. 周坤星 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 肖斐国 having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 周坤星 to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes 天津宁河县黑鹰队 got a freekick which was hit by 王宽云. 胡亮骏 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, 湖南湘潭雄鹿代表队's 李烨辉 threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 高威笑, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. But to his dismay, 周坤星 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When 方南榕 fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 湖南湘潭雄鹿代表队's protests and gave 方南榕 a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes 湖南湘潭雄鹿代表队 got a freekick which was hit by 方南榕. In the 91st minute, 魏天诚 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, 周坤星 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 天津宁河县黑鹰队 had won after a very even match.
