To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 楚坤城 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 郝磊笑 having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, 楚坤城 dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of 郝磊笑, 1-1. 26 minutes into the game, 吴竞广 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 广西北海勇士队's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 河南漯河海鹰队 the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when 赵银崇 made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 王星斌 in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when 江洲明 put in a rough tackle. 蒋伟宁's late challenge caught a 河南漯河海鹰队's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
