When 沈潮旭 came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the 广东潮州枫叶联队 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 沈潮旭 couldn't finish the play. 许彬烽 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 顾扬源 having to interfere. In the 35th minute, 蒋诚雄 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 吕亮远 in the 40th minute of play forced 广东潮州枫叶联队's goalkeeper 邓轩宽 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 67 played minutes 广西梧 got a freekick which was hit by 楚志源. 蒋诚雄 shot from long distance in the 68th minute, but 顾扬源 was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 68 minutes of play 广西梧's 楚志源 was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, 广西梧's 楚志源 got a free kick in the 69th minute. A well placed 许彬烽 short distance shot in the 70th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 邓轩宽 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 杨延克 in the 75th minute of play. 沈潮旭 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. 顾扬源 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, 杨延克 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 广西梧 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If 郝思宽 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 叶轩沙 kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in 广西梧's zone, 沈潮旭 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 顾扬源 came out of the goal and 沈潮旭 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
