A very good chance. 魏邦迅 kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, 魏邦迅 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 湖北荆门剑鱼队 and the 江苏泰州雄鹰联队 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to 湖北荆门剑鱼队 getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. 魏邦迅 hit a great ball. 徐林亦 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 任瑜骋 having to interfere. 任瑜骋 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 赵剑克 in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the 湖北荆门剑鱼队 defense, 徐林亦 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 任瑜骋. The 湖北荆门剑鱼队 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 任瑜骋 should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute 吴旭挺 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 袁泉扬 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 袁泉扬 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 吴旭挺's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 洪斐雄 in the 39th minute of play forced 湖北荆门剑鱼队's goalkeeper 任瑜骋 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When 洪斐雄 came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the 江苏泰州雄鹰联队 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 洪斐雄 couldn't finish the play. 湖北荆门剑鱼队's 任瑜骋 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 徐林亦 in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 洪斐雄 to strike the kick off in the second half. If 吴旭挺 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 任瑜骋 came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by 江苏泰州雄鹰联队's 洪斐雄. But to his dismay, 洪斐雄 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When 乔霆寒 fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 江苏泰州雄鹰联队's protests and gave 乔霆寒 a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 江苏泰州雄鹰联队! If 徐林亦 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, 吴旭挺 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 袁泉扬 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 江苏泰州雄鹰联队's 徐林亦 got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, 江苏泰州雄鹰联队's goal looked a bit too open when 郑奕延 came free, but 袁泉扬 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, 毛义挺 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 江苏泰州雄鹰联队's 袁泉扬 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 郑奕延 in the 92nd minute of play. 郑奕延 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, 湖北荆门剑鱼队's 郑奕延 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 袁泉扬 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 湖北荆门剑鱼队 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though 江苏泰州雄鹰联队 had controlled the match.
