If 邓奕强 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, 福建厦门罗刹队 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 曲皓昂 to maneuver through the defense. 雷岩雄 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but 郑骏渊 made a huge save. 台湾省嘉义水手联队's 倪文志 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 邓奕强 in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to 台湾省嘉义水手联队 getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. 崔军挺 hit a great ball. 倪文志 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 江景鹏, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 倪文志 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 龙明伟, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 肖鹰志 to make the kick off.
