After 12 minutes of play, Nelshiby's Cullen Fitzsimmons made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Bennett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Casper Bennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cullen Fitzsimmons in the 15th minute of play. If Drew Norman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20thth minute of the game Drew Norman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nelshiby's Long Voller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxwelton's Casper Bennett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Jackson in the 22nd minute of play. Maxwelton were furious when Dean Riley was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Casper Bennett, was totally fooled by Nelshiby's Bran Wharton, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the Maxwelton defense, Cullen Fitzsimmons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Bennett. The Maxwelton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Bennett should have stopped the shot. Elliot Jackson might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Bennett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Jackson ran back to his position shaking his head. Cullen Fitzsimmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casper Bennett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Jackson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phillip Sewell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cullen Fitzsimmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phillip Sewell struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Long Voller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maxwelton. After a rather tough play, Nelshiby's Jervis Hess got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Nelshiby's Elliot Jackson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Bennett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Nelshiby booed when Maxwelton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartholemew Gronow didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cullen Fitzsimmons came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Nelshiby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cullen Fitzsimmons couldn't finish the play. Cullen Fitzsimmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Casper Bennett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elliot Jackson came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Nelshiby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliot Jackson couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Nelshiby's Elliot Jackson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Bennett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Maxwelton got a freekick which was hit by Bartholemew Gronow. After 91 played minutes Nelshiby got a freekick which was hit by Cullen Fitzsimmons. Cullen Fitzsimmons scored 5-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Bennett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
