Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tom Wadley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rob Telfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Blagburn having to interfere. Paco Blagburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjorn Veitch in the 9th minute of the match. Rob Telfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Paco Blagburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bjorn Veitch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Fairview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Rhoades to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 23 minutes, Phenix Clark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fairview's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phenix Clark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Bjorn Veitch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cundle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjorn Veitch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ian Clarke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paco Blagburn having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bjorn Veitch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Veitch in the 56th minute of play forced Fairview's goalkeeper Paco Blagburn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Telfer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paco Blagburn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bleyd Wood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cundle's supporters rose to their feet, but Bleyd Wood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paco Blagburn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute Phenix Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnabas Prince saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Fairview's goalkeeper Paco Blagburn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rob Telfer. After a rather tough play, Fairview's Edmonds Withy got a free kick in the 71st minute. Rob Telfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Fairview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmonds Withy to maneuver through the defense. Barnabas Prince made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phenix Clark in the 90th minute of play. Phenix Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Barth Markcrow put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cundle fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fairview a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Neville Algoud, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cundle's Barnabas Prince. 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fairview fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cundle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
