Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Merrima's Brant Askew started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lowrey Mewburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irving Mckinnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rob Pearman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anthony Tresise was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Irving Mckinnes in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lowrey Mewburn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anthony Tresise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Pearman in the 13th minute of the match. Anthony Tresise made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremy Allan in the 25th minute. Rob Pearman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brooker's Lowrey Mewburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Askew in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Brooker defense, Irving Mckinnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lowrey Mewburn. The Brooker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lowrey Mewburn should have stopped the shot. If Irving Mckinnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Pearman to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rufus Sedgman in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Brant Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lowrey Mewburn having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match, Brant Askew tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lowrey Mewburn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 67 minutes Brooker's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abe Blagburn who took care of the corner kick. Rob Pearman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rob Pearman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rob Pearman succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. Rob Pearman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Tresise having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, one of Merrima:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Brooker. Bill Hickman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anthony Tresise. 4-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Rufus Sedgman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brooker's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rufus Sedgman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Irving Mckinnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lowrey Mewburn having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brooker fans cheered their team off the field, for while Merrima had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
