Bray Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Browne Bowen in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merlion Patriots FC's zone, Joshua Andrews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bray Malacarne came out of the goal and Joshua Andrews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allen Newton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Bray Malacarne skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bray Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Browne Bowen in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Brockman Heys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Merlion Patriots FC's zone, Browne Bowen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bray Malacarne came out of the goal and Browne Bowen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bray Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Browne Bowen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, Merlion Patriots FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Larkin Mcinnes to maneuver through the defense. Ozzie Boyd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bray Malacarne. Merlion Patriots FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Merlion Patriots FC's goalkeeper Bray Malacarne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allen Newton. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Browne Bowen to strike the kick off in the second half. After 67 played minutes Weymouth got a freekick which was hit by Allen Newton. 77 minutes into the match, Merlion Patriots FC's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Newton came free, but Bray Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Weymouth booed when Merlion Patriots FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lowrey Hoskin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Brockman Heys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlion Patriots FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brockman Heys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Browne Bowen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weymouth's supporters rose to their feet, but Browne Bowen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bray Malacarne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91stth minute of the game Browne Bowen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merlion Patriots FC's Bray Malacarne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Brockman Heys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
