After having played for 3 minutes, Nick Trims managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Backmede's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Trims was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Munroe Sennett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Trims in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Villawood-Lansvale FC's Benard Schulzte got a free kick in the 13th minute. Pearce Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurence Sawbridge having to interfere. Villawood-Lansvale FC's Munroe Sennett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Villawood-Lansvale FC from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes Villawood-Lansvale FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Leyden. The audience was convinced that Nick Trims's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Munroe Sennett was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Munroe Sennett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Trims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Nick Trims made the kick off in the second half. When Neal Plummer fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Backmede's protests and gave Neal Plummer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Backmede getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Neal Plummer hit a great ball. Nilson Schulzte's late challenge caught a Villawood-Lansvale FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Schulzte helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Villawood-Lansvale FC booed when Backmede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Schulzte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Barnes Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Backmede's supporters rose to their feet, but Barnes Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Munroe Sennett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nick Trims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Munroe Sennett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Villawood-Lansvale FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Reese Burtt hit a great ball. Nick Trims sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Barnes Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Munroe Sennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnes Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Munroe Sennett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick Trims's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Dante Leyden hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Nilson Schulzte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munroe Sennett having to interfere.
