Nero Tevelien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Fabrizio Mcwilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nero Tevelien got free with Benjamin Goodward in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabrizio Mcwilliam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Montacute booed when Bulleen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bishop Korff didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Hart in the 68th minute of play forced Montacute's goalkeeper Matthew Fasey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Goodward stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrizio Mcwilliam's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Nero Tevelien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bulleen FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
