Zack Mcmahon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danton Cudmore having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Brad Nolan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bye's Danton Cudmore. Danton Cudmore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brad Nolan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After the first half Chowerup were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Brad Nolan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Danton Cudmore 85 minutes into the match. When the match was over Chowerup could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bye throughout the match.
