Isaac Smee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagan Petersen's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Palmerston's goal looked a bit too open when Best Monck came free, but Bern Mcjunkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauder Rhodes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Neville Monson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bern Mcjunkins was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Peel's Isaac Smee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Peel from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Palmerston's Dagan Petersen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaac Smee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Palmerston's zone, Best Monck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bern Mcjunkins came out of the goal and Best Monck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neville Monson in the 37th minute of play forced Palmerston's goalkeeper Bern Mcjunkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagan Petersen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Smee having to make a save. After 46 played minutes Peel got a freekick which was hit by Connor Mckay. If Dagan Petersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neville Monson made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagan Petersen in the 53rd minute of play forced Peel's goalkeeper Isaac Smee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmerston's Bern Mcjunkins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Palmerston from getting a goal against them. Neville Monson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Best Monck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bern Mcjunkins having to interfere. Keefer Mcgrath kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Isaac Smee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Loch in the 65th minute of play. Best Monck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bern Mcjunkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Smee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagan Petersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When Edmonds Leydin fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peel's protests and gave Edmonds Leydin a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Peel got a freekick which was hit by Edmonds Leydin. Paul Odd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaac Smee. Peel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagan Petersen in the 79th minute of play forced Peel's goalkeeper Isaac Smee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Alan Loch put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Isaac Smee. Dagan Petersen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Smee having to make a save. Isaac Smee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Loch in the 90th minute of play. Alan Loch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Isaac Smee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Best Monck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Bern Mcjunkins made a huge save. Alan Loch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Smee having to interfere.
