Rich Dowling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Aliendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Davey Waters hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Ed Aliendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Munroe Kidman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rich Dowling read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Rich Dowling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Munroe Kidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goodia! The referee gave Talarm a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edwardo Atkin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Goodia's Rich Dowling. 0-1. When Talarm's Munroe Kidman in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Rich Dowling guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Talarm's Munroe Kidman in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goodia's goalie prevented a goal. After 21 minutes of play, Goodia's Duffield Stevenson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter White was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Munroe Kidman in the 28th minute of play forced Goodia's goalkeeper Rich Dowling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Edwardo Atkin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rich Dowling skillfully saved the ball. Munroe Kidman might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rich Dowling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Munroe Kidman ran back to his position shaking his head. Ed Aliendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Dowling having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Goodia's Barry Callaghan got a free kick in the 46th minute. Rich Dowling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Munroe Kidman in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Munroe Kidman made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Rich Dowling managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Talarm's Ed Aliendi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 52nd match minute, Goodia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berne Alves to maneuver through the defense. Rich Dowling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Munroe Kidman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ed Aliendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berne Alves's late challenge caught a Talarm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berne Alves helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Goodia got a freekick which was hit by Berne Alves. 58 minutes into the match, Goodia's goalkeeper Rich Dowling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ed Aliendi. In the 59th minute of the match, Munroe Kidman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rich Dowling saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rich Dowling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munroe Kidman in the 61st minute of the match. Ed Aliendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rich Dowling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Talarm's Ed Aliendi got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Munroe Kidman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talarm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Munroe Kidman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Munroe Kidman in the 70th minute of play forced Goodia's goalkeeper Rich Dowling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Munroe Kidman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rich Dowling, 1-2. Munroe Kidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Munroe Kidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Dowling having to interfere. When Ed Aliendi came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Talarm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Aliendi couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 81 in the game by Ed Aliendi from a close distance when the talented Rich Dowling managed to make a qualified save. Goodia's players were relieved. After 86 played minutes Goodia got a freekick which was hit by Duffield Stevenson. Ed Aliendi might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rich Dowling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ed Aliendi ran back to his position shaking his head. Earl Wilson in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rich Dowling, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Goodia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talarm were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
