Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Berne Alves took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rich Dowling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berne Mogork, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brice Feutrill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Rich Dowling made a huge save. John Hursey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Sedgman having to interfere. Goodia's Bart Pincini suffered a concussion in the 27th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Bock Bonham fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fanning's protests and gave Bock Bonham a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Goodia booed when Fanning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bock Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Hursey charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Hursey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Goodia got a freekick which was hit by John Hursey. Rich Dowling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berne Mogork, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Sedgman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Hursey, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Berne Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brice Feutrill took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rich Dowling. Rich Dowling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berne Mogork to make the kick off. Berne Mogork fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Dowling having to interfere. Brice Feutrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Goodia's John Hursey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Max Sedgman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, John Hursey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brice Feutrill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rich Dowling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fanning had won after a very even match.
