Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sam Petty took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ace Fessey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Hauschildt in the 6th minute of the match. Albury's Ace Fessey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney Reilly in the 8th minute of play. Rod Hauschildt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ace Fessey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barney Reilly in the 11th minute of play forced Albury's goalkeeper Ace Fessey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albury's Ace Fessey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Hauschildt in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Petty in the 18th minute of play forced Meermaul's goalkeeper Duke Christian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, one of Meermaul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Meermaul. The goalkeeper, Duke Christian, was totally fooled by Albury's Edmonds Skurrie, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Albury's Anthony Borserio got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Barney Reilly struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ace Fessey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meermaul. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barney Reilly in the 26th minute of play forced Albury's goalkeeper Ace Fessey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mack Bacon got free with Duke Christian in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Meermaul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pete Vickery in the 34th minute. A nice corner shot did that Pete Vickery got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ace Fessey quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Albury's Ace Fessey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney Reilly in the 38th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Meermaul's Rod Hauschildt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ace Fessey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 45th match minute, Meermaul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Solomon to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barney Reilly made a kick off. Ace Fessey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rod Hauschildt went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Meermaul's Duke Christian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Petty in the 62nd minute of play. Barney Reilly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ace Fessey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Abbott Aylwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barney Reilly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ace Fessey having to make a save. If Barney Reilly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Albury getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Anthony Borserio hit a great ball. Ace Fessey made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Pete Vickery sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the game, Mack Bacon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meermaul the free kick. Mack Bacon hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Albury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Bridson to maneuver through the defense. Albury's Ace Fessey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney Reilly in the 78th minute of play. Ace Fessey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Solomon, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Albury's goal looked a bit too open when Barney Reilly came free, but Ace Fessey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Meermaul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Albury throughout the match.
