After 27 minutes, Jarrod Rhodes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Narraweena Azzurri and the JuveMount 2004 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Meyer Bonham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrett Holdsworth in the 75th minute of the match. Narraweena Azzurri's Jesse Cusbert got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jesse Cusbert came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Narraweena Azzurri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesse Cusbert couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute of the match Murphey Stafford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Meyer Bonham skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Jesse Cusbert put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bennett Isaac. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
