Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jason Wood made the kick off which started today's match. Alberto Christian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Couzens having to interfere. Gregory Couzens came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Melbourne FC's Alberto Christian. But to his dismay, Alberto Christian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gregory Couzens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jason Wood's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. David Perrett struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Gregory Couzens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melbourne FC. 17 minutes into the match, Truganina's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Azevedo came free, but Gregory Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jason Wood in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregory Couzens saved Truganina from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jason Wood in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregory Couzens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, David Perrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nash Wayland hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rafael Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Couzens having to interfere. After 34 minutes of play, Melbourne FC's Jason Wood made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregory Couzens was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alberto Christian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Truganina's goal looked a bit too open when Jason Wood came free, but Gregory Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Christian in the 41st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jason Wood's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregory Couzens was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. When Melbourne FC's Jason Wood in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Truganina's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Alberto Christian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Christian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregory Couzens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gregory Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jason Wood in the 56th minute of play. Jason Wood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gregory Couzens made a huge save. When Alberto Christian came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Melbourne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Christian couldn't finish the play. Jason Wood in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gregory Couzens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Larkin Tevelien hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Jason Wood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Couzens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Truganina's Gregory Couzens got control of the ball when Jason Wood tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregory Couzens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Christian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Jason Wood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Couzens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Perrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Couzens having to interfere. Truganina's Gregory Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Wood in the 89th minute of play. Truganina's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Jason Wood scored to the left of an out of position Gregory Couzens, making the score, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Truganina's Navarro Egel got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 94th minute, Jason Wood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregory Couzens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Melbourne FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
