Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Everett Cookesley kicked off to start the match. Eden Mcmahon charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eden Mcmahon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eden Mcmahon hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Everett Cookesley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bert Gruer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Calleen's zone, Everett Cookesley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bert Gruer came out of the goal and Everett Cookesley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bert Gruer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everett Cookesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Sabastian Auger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dwellingup's Everett Cookesley got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Calleen's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Cookesley came free, but Bert Gruer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dwellingup's Burtt Laws got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everett Cookesley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Gruer having to interfere. Dwight Burmeister kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Dwellingup's Everett Cookesley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bert Gruer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. James Mcgrath kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Everett Cookesley came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Dwellingup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everett Cookesley couldn't finish the play. Bert Gruer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burtt Laws, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Calleen booed when Dwellingup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Mcgrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ike Potter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the match, Dwellingup's Burtt Laws sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bert Gruer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Calleen's Dwight Burmeister got a free kick in the 66th minute. Everett Cookesley might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bert Gruer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Everett Cookesley ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ike Potter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ike Potter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobie Bailey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Alcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th play minute Burtt Laws came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bert Gruer. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Irwin Ogle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Irwin Ogle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobie Bailey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burtt Laws sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burtt Laws might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bert Gruer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Burtt Laws ran back to his position shaking his head. Sabastian Auger kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Calleen got a freekick which was hit by Everitt Mcgirr. Burtt Laws recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bert Gruer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everett Cookesley, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Dwellingup players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
