Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Yoongarilup booed when Grimulators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrews Spurr didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Yoongarilup's Baxter Maddern made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rod Mclatchey was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Yoongarilup's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabas Sennett came free, but Bock Bunworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnabas Sennett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bock Bunworth having to interfere. Barnabas Sennett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Grimulators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrews Spurr to maneuver through the defense. Rod Mclatchey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baxter Maddern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Yoongarilup's Ben Brennan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rod Mclatchey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Ben Brennan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimulators's Rod Mclatchey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Grimulators's goal looked a bit too open when Baxter Maddern came free, but Rod Mclatchey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Brennan in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Mclatchey saved Grimulators from getting behind. Baxter Maddern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rod Mclatchey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Brennan to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Barry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bock Bunworth having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Kent Huther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnabas Sennett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Barry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rod Mclatchey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Grimulators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrews Egel to maneuver through the defense. Ben Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Mclatchey having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Andrews Egel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grimulators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yoongarilup the free kick. In the 78th minute, Andrews Egel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Brennan in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Mclatchey saved Grimulators from getting behind. Baxter Maddern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rod Mclatchey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Yoongarilup's Ben Brennan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rod Mclatchey. That made the score 0-2 after 88 minutes of play. In the 92nd minute Barnabas Sennett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bock Bunworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grimulators's Carlos Barry got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Yoongarilup supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yoongarilup would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
