Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thomas Muggleton made the kick off which started today's match. Thomas Muggleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassidy Turnor having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Thomas Muggleton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cassidy Turnor. Motueka FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Muggleton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 17 minutes into the game, Barth Mcinnis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motueka FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BGM United the free kick. A collision led to Motueka FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Barth Mcinnis hit a great ball. Phenix Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cassidy Turnor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motueka FC's Cassidy Turnor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Muggleton in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Motueka FC's Reese Mcmillan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Logan Moon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cassidy Turnor came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by BGM United's Thomas Muggleton. But to his dismay, Thomas Muggleton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Motueka FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Barnett Plank hit a great ball. When Reese Mcmillan fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motueka FC's protests and gave Reese Mcmillan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Reese Mcmillan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jervis Glover received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cassidy Turnor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Muggleton struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Cassidy Turnor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BGM United. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barnett Plank to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Motueka FC's Bjorn Pinal got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Motueka FC's zone, Jervis Glover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cassidy Turnor came out of the goal and Jervis Glover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Barnett Plank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motueka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barnett Plank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Moon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of BGM United booed when Motueka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barth Mcinnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Jervis Glover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jervis Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barth Mcinnis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Moon having to interfere. Barnett Plank's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Logan Moon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Connor Pearce charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Connor Pearce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reese Mcmillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnett Plank in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Logan Moon saved BGM United from getting behind.
