Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorimer Finden in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edison Fasey saved Perth Lynx from getting behind. If Alfred Ogle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Ogle struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Edison Fasey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carabost. Lawrance Cookesley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Earle Minne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perth Lynx's Edison Fasey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorimer Finden in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Alfred Ogle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Perth Lynx's zone, Alfred Ogle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edison Fasey came out of the goal and Alfred Ogle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bent Pfingst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Byron Leyden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carabost's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perth Lynx the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Carabost:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Perth Lynx:s goal. The goalkeeper, Lawrance Cookesley, was totally fooled by Perth Lynx's Artie Groves, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Edison Fasey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iggy Serena in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Perth Lynx's zone, Alfred Ogle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edison Fasey came out of the goal and Alfred Ogle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Earle Minne to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alfred Ogle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Alfred Ogle got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Lorimer Finden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Perth Lynx's Fabrizio Tout got a free kick in the 61st minute. Earle Minne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrance Cookesley having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Lorimer Finden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carabost's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorimer Finden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edison Fasey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Lorimer Finden kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edison Fasey. That made the score 1-2 in the 79 minute of play. Alfred Ogle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carabost's Bjorn Death suffered a concussion after 90 minutes and had to leave the field. Brye Clark hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Alfred Ogle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edison Fasey having to interfere. Edison Fasey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Ogle in the 96th minute. If Lewis Biddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carabost's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
