After a rather tough play, St Georges Basin United's Bryce Gummow got a free kick in the 4th minute. Henry Hanslow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Quelch in the 6th minute of play. Alexander Quelch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Henry Hanslow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Finley's Alexander Quelch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Hanslow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barnett Maybury kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Burtt Quelch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Burtt Quelch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Hanslow having to interfere. Ian Sparks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ellis Malacarne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradshaw Heys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind St Georges Basin United's goalkeeper Henry Hanslow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, St Georges Basin United's Barnabas Hoey got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, St Georges Basin United's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Quelch came free, but Henry Hanslow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Bradshaw Heys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Finley's Ellis Malacarne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Finley's Alexander Quelch dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Quelch in the 38th minute of play forced St Georges Basin United's goalkeeper Henry Hanslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Ian Sparks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The St Georges Basin United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Alexander Quelch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Bradshaw Heys made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Finley booed when St Georges Basin United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnett Maybury didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Quelch struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Henry Hanslow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finley. After 53 minutes of play, Finley's Burtt Quelch made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Hanslow was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 59 minutes, Alexander Quelch made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. St Georges Basin United's Henry Hanslow tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 66 played minutes St Georges Basin United got a freekick which was hit by Evan Groves. After 67 played minutes St Georges Basin United got a freekick which was hit by Barnabas Hoey. Jasmine Dale took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henry Hanslow. St Georges Basin United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alexander Quelch struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Henry Hanslow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finley. Burtt Quelch scored 4-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Hanslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Burtt Quelch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Henry Hanslow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexander Quelch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Quelch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Finley's Burtt Quelch in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye St Georges Basin United's goalie prevented a goal. Burtt Quelch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Finley fully deserved thier win.
