The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Bleazard charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Bleazard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Berry Scalzo made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Quandary's Burns Willding. Burns Willding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Bennett Hopkins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mullaley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quandary the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mullaley's Bennett Hopkins got a free kick in the 11th minute. Carleton Neich struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Matthews Copelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quandary. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mullaley's goalkeeper Matthews Copelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Curtis Shortus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrews Carnduff in the 19th minute of the match. Darin Kaine walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Danny Allcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Matthews Copelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrews Carnduff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrews Carnduff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Carleton Neich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Benjy Jeffress shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Shortus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Allcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthews Copelin having to interfere. Carleton Neich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Gruer made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Quandary's Danny Allcock. In the 76th minute, Burns Willding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bennett Hopkins hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mullaley's Clark Greenbank got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Quandary's Darin Kaine couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mullaley. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Gruer in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quandary's Edgar Bleazard. Curtis Shortus didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mullaley's Andrews Carnduff shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Larry Mitchell struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Matthews Copelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quandary. Many of Quandary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Quandary may have spent more time on the ball, but Mullaley were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
