Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dan Batterham made the kick off which started today's match. Williamsdale's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Dan Batterham scored to the left of an out of position Bill Deal, making the score, 1-0. Arnold Goodbun struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Bill Deal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Princetown. In the 14th minute, Princetown's Berry Mcneven seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Berry Mcneven the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Princetown protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Berry Mcneven had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Dallas Pearse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bleyd Rose tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Williamsdale's goalkeeper Bill Deal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnold Goodbun. Bleyd Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birrell Jeavons in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes in the game, Arnold Goodbun fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bill Deal having to interfere. Carlisle Dobbing hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With 27 minutes on the clock, Herbert Auger commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Williamsdale! In the 31st minute, Everitt Goodward hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Dallas Pearse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bleyd Rose was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Williamsdale's Dallas Pearse got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arnold Goodbun came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Princetown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Goodbun couldn't finish the play. If Arnold Goodbun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dallas Pearse to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Williamsdale's goalkeeper Bill Deal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bleyd Rose came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Williamsdale's Dallas Pearse. But to his dismay, Dallas Pearse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Everitt Goodward hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The long shot by Roy Markwell in the 59th minute really tested Bleyd Rose's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Princetown's goalkeeper Bleyd Rose had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dallas Pearse. 63 minutes into the match, Dallas Pearse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bleyd Rose. Princetown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dallas Pearse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Dallas Pearse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bleyd Rose having to interfere. Bleyd Rose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pinkerton in the 67th minute of the match. Arnold Goodbun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everitt Goodward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Deal having to interfere. Dallas Pearse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bleyd Rose made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Dallas Pearse sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Arnold Goodbun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Renshaw's late challenge caught a Princetown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Renshaw helped the player get up and apologised. Dallas Pearse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bleyd Rose having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Arnold Goodbun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Princetown's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnold Goodbun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Deal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Princetown booed when Williamsdale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlisle Dobbing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Williamsdale's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
