The supporters of Collingwood booed when Roseville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliot Howard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Navarro Gledden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berke Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Calvin Tarrant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roseville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Berkeley Nurthen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Potter Muddle having to interfere. Potter Muddle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkeley Nurthen in the 14th minute of play. Berkeley Nurthen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Potter Muddle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Bill Bacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Tarrant got free with Berke Curtis in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Collingwood's goal looked a bit too open when Navarro Gledden came free, but Berke Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Collingwood's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Fordham came free, but Berke Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Collingwood's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Fordham came free, but Berke Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berke Sobezak in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Potter Muddle saved Roseville from getting behind. If Berkeley Nurthen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brooks Starling kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Berke Sobezak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Calvin Tarrant struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Berke Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roseville. 46 minutes into the match, Collingwood's goal looked a bit too open when Navarro Gledden came free, but Berke Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berke Sobezak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Navarro Gledden kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes Roseville got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Staworowski. 57 minutes into the game, Roseville's Brooks Starling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berke Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Berkeley Nurthen came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Collingwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berkeley Nurthen couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Berke Sobezak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Potter Muddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berke Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Navarro Gledden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drew Fordham took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berke Curtis. Berke Curtis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 79 minutes, Henry Brotherton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Collingwood and the Roseville players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Collingwood's Henry Brotherton got a free kick in the 79th minute. Navarro Gledden kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Collingwood's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Tarrant came free, but Berke Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calvin Tarrant in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Berke Curtis saved Collingwood from getting behind. After some careless play in the Collingwood defense, Brooks Starling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berke Curtis. The Collingwood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berke Curtis should have stopped the shot.
