Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hale Lovis got the match started through his kick off. Navin Swan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Humphry Collins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Mckinnes in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humphry Collins saved Vineyard from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Navin Swan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humphry Collins was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Navin Swan might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humphry Collins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Navin Swan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Balgowan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hale Lovis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Navin Swan in the 22nd minute of play forced Vineyard's goalkeeper Humphry Collins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balgowan's Barry Mckinnes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Bartholemew Arkinstall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humphry Collins came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Balgowan's Barry Mckinnes. But to his dismay, Barry Mckinnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Barry Mckinnes struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Humphry Collins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balgowan. In the 42nd minute Navin Swan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humphry Collins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Bruce Tarrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hale Lovis's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Murdock Maybury kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Navin Swan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hale Lovis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Tarrant having to interfere. Bartholemew Arkinstall charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartholemew Arkinstall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Balgowan getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bartholemew Arkinstall hit a great ball. Navin Swan might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humphry Collins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Navin Swan ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the game, Patrick Bohn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vineyard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balgowan the free kick. In the 75th minute, Patrick Bohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balgowan's Bruce Tarrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauder Mccartan in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Balgowan's goalkeeper Bruce Tarrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hale Lovis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murdock Maybury kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Bock Surman's shot from long distance in the 89th minute was not bad at all, but Vineyard's Humphry Collins knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Barry Mckinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Humphry Collins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
