Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Calingiri's Carlton Devere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamese Flisfeder in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Toodyay booed when Calingiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loud Venz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Payton Lawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlton Devere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamese Flisfeder in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Toodyay's Bryden Sparrow got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ray Goodbun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Darley Grandison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Toodyay's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Holdsworth came free, but Darley Grandison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jamese Flisfeder came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Toodyay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamese Flisfeder couldn't finish the play. When Calingiri's Ray Goodbun in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toodyay's goalie prevented a goal. Darley Grandison didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ethan Holdsworth went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamese Flisfeder was the one to do the kick off. Payton Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jamese Flisfeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bryden Sparrow hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Darley Grandison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Holdsworth in the 60th minute of play. Payton Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlton Devere having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Payton Lawson in the 63rd minute of play forced Calingiri's goalkeeper Carlton Devere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes, Cole Quelch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calingiri and the Toodyay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Calingiri got a freekick which was hit by Cole Quelch. After having played for 65 minutes, Payton Lawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toodyay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Payton Lawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Toodyay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Phillip See hit a great ball. Reese Powderham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Darley Grandison. Toodyay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Ethan Holdsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Loud Venz's late challenge caught a Toodyay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loud Venz helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Calingiri got a freekick which was hit by Loud Venz. In the 77th match minute, Calingiri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cole Quelch to maneuver through the defense. When Jamese Flisfeder came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Toodyay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamese Flisfeder couldn't finish the play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Payton Lawson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calingiri's Carlton Devere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Toodyay's Hale Stockwin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Calingiri supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Calingiri would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
