Matthias Wilson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ace Norton having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Wilson in the 13th minute of play forced Churchill's goalkeeper Ace Norton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ace Norton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Hoskin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Churchill's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Hoskin came free, but Ace Norton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Churchill. Matthias Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bert Mcmurchie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Battle Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ace Norton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bill Hoskin in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes Churchill got a freekick which was hit by Earnest Renney.
