Keith Tout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Boothey having to interfere. Oliver Soekirno hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Andre Rummens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bevis Wege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bevis Wege stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Rummens's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Bicheno's Jemmett Death got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brayden Woodbridge in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bevis Wege saved Bicheno from getting behind. Jervis Nobes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Boothey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith Tout in the 18th minute of play. Jervis Nobes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Roger Boothey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Keith Tout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Boothey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Roger Boothey throw himself and got hold of the ball when Keith Tout in the 25thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to Bicheno getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Porter Newham hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Brayden Woodbridge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bevis Wege was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bicheno's zone, Andre Rummens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bevis Wege came out of the goal and Andre Rummens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Brayden Woodbridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bicheno's Bevis Wege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jervis Nobess short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Roger Boothey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Richard Wilde's late challenge caught a Bicheno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Wilde helped the player get up and apologised. Richard Wilde kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, Naybethong's Roger Boothey got control of the ball when Jervis Nobes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roger Boothey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Tout, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Keith Tout made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Carsyn Clist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Naybethong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bicheno the free kick. Richard Wilde hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match.
