Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cammeray's Carsyn Whittington started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 11 minutes, Bill Warren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cammeray and the Greendale players grew even worse after the yellow card. Handley Alcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dani Pfingst, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Carsyn Whittington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Handley Alcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Whitmore struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Abbott Clist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greendale. After having played for 22 minutes, Bruno Coldicutt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greendale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Coldicutt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cammeray's Bill Warren got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Bill Warren off the ground. In the 24th match minute, Cammeray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Warren to maneuver through the defense. Kyle Whitmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbott Clist having to interfere. Bruno Coldicutt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abbott Clist came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno Coldicutt slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 28th minute. Greendale's Bruno Coldicutt got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Greendale's Kyle Whitmore got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Dani Pfingst ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Handley Alcock was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 39th minute, Cammeray's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kyle Whitmore fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Handley Alcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Pfingst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Coldicutt was the one to do the kick off. If Bruno Coldicutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Leydin charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Leydin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Leydin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Cammeray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasmine Cootes to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Coldicutt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Coldicutt in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abbott Clist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bruno Coldicutt came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Greendale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Coldicutt couldn't finish the play. After 72nd play minutes Bruno Coldicutt shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Abbott Clist and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 76th match minute, Cammeray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carsyn Whittington to maneuver through the defense. Cammeray's Abbott Clist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Whitmore in the 77th minute of play. If Bruno Coldicutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abbott Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Whitmore in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Kyle Whitmore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greendale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Whitmore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Greendale were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cammeray for a fine match.
