Pete Featon struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Grant Trevena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Coast Slammers. In the 9th minute Zackery Kuskop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dakota Morey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Zackery Kuskop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerrard Colman during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Jerrard Colman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neal Chant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Trevena having to interfere. The supporters of Yulgilbar booed when West Coast Slammers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Fallen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Yulgilbar's Grant Trevena got control of the ball when Dan Mckinley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pete Featon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dakota Morey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrard Colman in the 31st minute of play. Dakota Morey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zackery Kuskop's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Jerrard Colman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dakota Morey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zackery Kuskop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dakota Morey having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Jerrard Colman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dakota Morey. West Coast Slammers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerrard Colman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Zackery Kuskop made the kick off in the second half. West Coast Slammers's Dan Mckinley got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, West Coast Slammers's goal looked a bit too open when Zackery Kuskop came free, but Dakota Morey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Dan Mckinley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Coast Slammers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Mckinley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerrard Colman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Dakota Morey made a huge save. 71 minutes into the game, Bryan Fallen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. West Coast Slammers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yulgilbar the free kick. In the 71st minute, Bryan Fallen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Yulgilbar's Bartholemew Gronow broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. West Coast Slammers's Bryan Fallen got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Bryan Fallen off the ground. Zackery Kuskop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dakota Morey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerrard Colman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Zackery Kuskop's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dakota Morey was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Zackery Kuskop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neal Chant hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Bartholemew Gronow, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Yulgilbar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
