In the 5th minute of the match, Alex Quinane tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Art Cawthorne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 7 minutes, Neville Oneill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morea and the Wattening players grew even worse after the yellow card. Art Cawthorne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Quinane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wattening's Art Cawthorne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Wattening from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Darren Boots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Morea booed when Wattening was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Boots didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Wattening's Jake Annis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christopher Brennand was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Morea booed when Wattening was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Annis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Morea's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Schulze came free, but Christopher Brennand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Quinane was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Morea's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 36th minute Rodd Hayward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Cawthorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Art Cawthorne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Quinane, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Darren Boots hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes, Morea's Marshal Weatherby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Art Cawthorne came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morea reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Quinane made a kick off. Ernest Schulze was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Conner Chamberlain got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Art Cawthorne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Quinane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conner Chamberlain kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Art Cawthorne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neville Oneill, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Alex Quinane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Quinane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 74 minutes of play Morea's Neville Oneill was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Morea's Neville Oneill got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jake Annis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Brennand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Christopher Brennand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jake Annis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Biddle Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Art Cawthorne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Wattening got a freekick which was hit by Bevis Mcvicar. In the 85th minute of the match Marshal Weatherby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Art Cawthorne skillfully saved the ball. Rodd Hayward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Cawthorne having to interfere. If Biddle Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jake Annis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biddle Rhodes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Morea supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wattening's performance. The match ended with a win for Wattening.
