Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Olin Rowdon made the kick off which started today's match. Pete Mcjunkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Wege, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjorn Berresford to maneuver through the defense. Brett Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pete Mcjunkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Aaron Fallen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dooen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Fallen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brett Wege sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Brett Wege cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pete Mcjunkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 36 played minutes Dooen got a freekick which was hit by Neal Vaughan. Pete Mcjunkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brett Wege's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Brett Wege sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Dooen booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earle Watson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Pete Mcjunkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evan Laycock in the 57th minute. Jarrett Mccarthy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olin Rowdon in the 62nd minute of the match. Pete Mcjunkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brett Wege's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Gregg Stevenson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jarrett Mccarthy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Matt Aroege hit a great ball. Gregg Stevenson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarrett Mccarthy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olin Rowdon in the 92nd minute of play. Brett Wege blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pete Mcjunkin having to make a save. The Sydney FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
