Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Laycock to make the kick off. Daniel Cochrane hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Barberton's Kale Orr got a free kick in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Samuel Laycock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moondarewa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Laycock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrews Hart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryden Walsh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrews Hart came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Moondarewa's Bryden Walsh. But to his dismay, Bryden Walsh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Barberton getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Laycock helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Moondarewa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Laycock to maneuver through the defense. When Edward Zalunardo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Barberton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Zalunardo couldn't finish the play. When Bryden Walsh came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Moondarewa fans jumped to their feet.
