Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Darin Howarth made the kick off which started today's match. Ernest Rowden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darin Howarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Darin Howarth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Darin Howarth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Rowden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darin Howarth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Rowden having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Delahide came free, but Bradley Huff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Birrell Giddey fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tyalgum's protests and gave Birrell Giddey a yellow card for diving instead. Birrell Giddey hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Tyalgum's Ernest Rowden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tyalgum from getting a goal against them. Manchester United's Bradley Huff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Delahide in the 28th minute of play. After 30 minutes Manchester United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abbott Kreck who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Mack Greenan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bjorn Black kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Stan Delahide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Otto Perrett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bjorn Black hit a great ball. Jaffery Andrews charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaffery Andrews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaffery Andrews hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Manchester United's Norm Reilly broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Birrell Giddey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Birrell Giddey made the kick off in the second half. Manchester United's Bradley Huff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester United from getting a goal against them. Stan Delahide's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Bradley Huff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Otto Perrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, one of Tyalgum:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tyalgum. Ernest Rowden had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Norm Reilly's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Manchester United's Norm Reilly made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Rowden was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tyalgum's goalkeeper Ernest Rowden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manchester United's Darin Howarth got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birrell Giddey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bradley Huff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Stan Delahide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester United had won after a very even match.
