Ryan Fortington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Case Trezise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brad Curtis came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Minmindie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Curtis couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berne Hanlen in the 25th minute of play forced liverpola's goalkeeper Darley Kean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Case Trezise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Fortington in the 26th minute of play. With a little luck, Minmindie's Case Trezise got control of the ball when Phenix Rowdon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ryan Fortington to strike the kick off in the second half. Darley Kean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berne Hanlen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darley Kean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 87 minutes, Ryan Fortington made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Minmindie's Case Trezise tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Case Trezise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phenix Rowdon in the 90th minute of the match. Darley Kean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berne Hanlen in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Berne Hanlen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Darley Kean. Berne Hanlen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Minmindie walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
