Phenix Rowdon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ryan Fortington's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Ceney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Darley Kean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Turnor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11thth minute of the game Porter Mills who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but liverpola's Darley Kean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phenix Rowdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Ceney having to interfere. The supporters of liverpola booed when Excelsior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Sibbold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Barry Everett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excelsior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barry Everett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porter Mills struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Darley Kean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excelsior FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Fortington in the 27th minute of play forced Excelsior FC's goalkeeper Jacob Ceney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedict Willis charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedict Willis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benedict Willis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Darrell Harkness who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Excelsior FC's Jacob Ceney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benedict Willis was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Benedict Willis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nick Turnor made a kick off. When Humphrey Slattery fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Excelsior FC's protests and gave Humphrey Slattery a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, Excelsior FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humphrey Slattery to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Nick Turnor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darley Kean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Britton Goodwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Ceney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Phenix Rowdon went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Darley Kean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Turnor in the 69th minute of the match. Darrell Harkness hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A collision led to liverpola getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jenkins Gorham hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Anthony Hinwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Wood, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Phenix Rowdon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jacob Ceney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Porter Mills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excelsior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porter Mills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
