After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Everitt Flesfader managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool United's supporters rose to their feet, but Everitt Flesfader was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Jeffress breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 7 minutes, Roger Reiter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool United and the Red Cliffs Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Liverpool United got a freekick which was hit by Roger Reiter. Michael Jeffress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everitt Flesfader, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everitt Flesfader in the 15th minute of play forced Red Cliffs Devils's goalkeeper Michael Jeffress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bock Clack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Byron Kile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cod Yard charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cod Yard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everitt Flesfader in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Jeffress saved Red Cliffs Devils from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Peter Giles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danton Colling's late challenge caught a Liverpool United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danton Colling helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Red Cliffs Devils got a freekick which was hit by Danton Colling. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bock Clack stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bray Snabl scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Jeffress, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Everitt Flesfader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Jeffress saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Byron Kile made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Bock Clack sent off a good shot on target. After 80 played minutes, Liverpool United's Russ Stageman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michael Jeffress came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liverpool United reached it. The supporters of Liverpool United booed when Red Cliffs Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jagger Goldsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Everitt Flesfader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Red Cliffs Devils got a freekick which was hit by Dane King. Bray Snabl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Jeffress having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Liverpool United's Everitt Flesfader sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Jeffress narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everitt Flesfader succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Red Cliffs Devils's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
