Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edwards Franklin started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Edwards Franklin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ridgley's Martin Legg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Amos Kinsey made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 10thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Martin Legg would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The supporters of Ridgley booed when Duffield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Bielski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Duffield's zone, Earnest Algoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Virgin came out of the goal and Earnest Algoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Legg was a little too slow when Edwards Franklin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudolph Baptiste during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martin Legg made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Amos Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. Amos Kinsey's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martin Legg firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 33 played minutes Ridgley got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Prior. When Berke Carlisle fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duffield's protests and gave Berke Carlisle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Berke Carlisle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Martin Legg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Angelo Bielski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacob Connolly made a kick off. Tommy Virgin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob Connolly's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Martin Legg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Bielski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Kinsey in the 54th minute of play forced Ridgley's goalkeeper Martin Legg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Virgin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Connolly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Ridgley's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Kinsey came free, but Martin Legg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacob Connolly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65thth minute of the game Jacob Connolly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duffield's Tommy Virgin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Amos Kinsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jacob Connolly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ridgley's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Connolly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Virgin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 85 minutes, Edwards Franklin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duffield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwards Franklin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Earnest Algoud got free with Tommy Virgin in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Earnest Algoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Legg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwards Franklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Nathan Prior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amos Kinsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Legg having to interfere. Ridgley's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
