Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Justin Mills made the kick off and thus started the match. Wellard's Bran Spurr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brown Black in the 3rd minute of play. Bran Spurr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brown Black's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Landsborough's Berry Brady got control of the ball when Stewart Curtis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stewart Curtis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berry Brady having to interfere. Berry Brady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justin Mills, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justin Mills recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Landsborough's Ray Calver in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wellard's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Wellard booed when Landsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Haberle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Wellard's Fletcher Hart broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justin Mills in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berry Brady prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Berry Brady stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justin Mills's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Berry Brady made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stewart Curtis in the 31st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Justin Mills got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 37 minutes into the match, Brown Black had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bran Spurr. Wellard's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brown Black was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Berry Brady made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stewart Curtis in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Bryanne Czaczka hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Wellard's Bran Spurr got control of the ball when Brown Black tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Calver in the 64th minute of play forced Wellard's goalkeeper Bran Spurr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Justin Mills came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Wellard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justin Mills couldn't finish the play. Berry Brady made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stewart Curtis in the 66th minute of play. If Justin Mills had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berry Brady stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justin Mills's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After 78 minutes, Stewart Curtis made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Landsborough's Berry Brady tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Stewart Curtis notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Landsborough's Berry Brady. Berry Brady was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stewart Curtis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellard walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
