After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Brown Black managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landsborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Brown Black was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carleton Byrnes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carleton Byrnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Calver, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Ray Calver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carleton Byrnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Landsborough's Ray Calver got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Ray Calver might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carleton Byrnes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ray Calver ran back to his position shaking his head. A long shot from Bradford Missen in the 39th minute of play was well struck, but Carleton Byrnes made a really good save at the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Wauraltee's goal looked a bit too open when Ray Calver came free, but Carleton Byrnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wauraltee's Carleton Byrnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Wauraltee from getting a goal against them. If Ray Calver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berry Brady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Pickhills, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marshall Missen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brown Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brown Black received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Carleton Byrnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Wauraltee getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Edison Jeavons hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Landsborough's Bradford Missen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Edison Jeavons hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Edison Jeavons charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edison Jeavons the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edison Jeavons kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Brown Black scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carleton Byrnes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carleton Byrnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brown Black in the 85th minute of the match. When Landsborough's Brown Black in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
