Bradford Millard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Berry Huther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zack Devere hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Sydney FC got a corner. Coila's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarvis Collins ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sydney FC's Jarvis Collins was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicholas Goring in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zack Devere got his second yellow card in the match during the 10th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 14th minute, Bradford Millard fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Berry Huther, passed just outside the right post. Luke Heathwood charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luke Heathwood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Coila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luke Heathwood to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Coila's zone, Raymond Serena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Goring came out of the goal and Raymond Serena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee gave Sydney FC a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jarvis Collins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Coila's Nicholas Goring. 0-1. In the 23rd minute, one of Coila:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coila. The referee gave Sydney FC a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jarvis Collins, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Coila's Nicholas Goring. 0-2. Bradford Millard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Bradford Millard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berry Huther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Coila getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jacobo Irrintzi hit a great ball. When Jacobo Irrintzi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Coila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Irrintzi couldn't finish the play. Ernest Rafferty kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Bradford Millard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berry Huther having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradford Millard to strike the kick off in the second half. Berry Huther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradford Millard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Bradford Millard notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sydney FC's Berry Huther. Berry Huther was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coila's Nicholas Goring proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Coila from getting a goal against them. If Raymond Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Coila's Nicholas Goring got control of the ball when Raymond Serena tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Sydney FC's Raymond Serena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicholas Goring made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Sydney FC's Berry Huther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Irrintzi in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pete Solomon during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pete Solomon hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bradford Millard came free, but Berry Huther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney FC's Samuel Locke got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Coila supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sydney FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Sydney FC.
