An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Gummow in the 4th minute of play forced Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Rudy Gummow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlton Convine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burhanettin Utman in the 7th minute of play forced Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Glasston's Mete Golob tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thomas Diehl made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Rafael van der Vaart sent off a good shot on target. Rafael van der Vaart had several of the Melbourne 007's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Thomas Diehl as he didn't even see the shot coming. Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Melbourne 007 from getting a goal against them. Carlton Convine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Gummow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Golob, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Mete Golob put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Thomas Diehl. Carlton Convine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 秦梁翀 in the 34th minute of the match. After 36th play minutes Rafael van der Vaart shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Thomas Diehl and just under the crossbar into goal. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 秦梁翀 in the 39th minute of play. Carlton Convine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 秦梁翀 in the 39th minute of the match. Thomas Diehl was a little too slow when Mete Golob got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. Rafael van der Vaart hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brandon Galvin in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlton Convine saved Glasston from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rudy Gummow to strike the kick off in the second half. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Galvin in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match Melbourne 007 got a corner. Glasston's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joshua Mccormick ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 53rd minute, Wincent Solecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mete Golob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Thomas Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brandon Galvin's late challenge caught a Glasston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brandon Galvin helped the player get up and apologised. Brandon Galvin hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Thomas Diehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 60th minute of play. Thomas Diehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Warren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute of the match Glasston got a corner. A nice corner shot did that Mete Golob got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Diehl quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael van der Vaart in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Diehl saved Melbourne 007 from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rudy Gummow. Brandon Galvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. György Németh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Thomas Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burhanettin Utman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Carlton Convine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rex Wenham during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Melbourne 007 getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rex Wenham hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Tom Rheistein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Glasston's Carlton Convine got control of the ball when 秦梁翀 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomas Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael van der Vaart in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute György Németh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Golob in the 94th minute of play. Melbourne 007's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
