The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Randall Rummens hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute, Rafael van der Vaart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glasston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Darwin Saville FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tom Rheistein was slow to take the kick. During this time Glasston's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that György Németh got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marshall Wakefield quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Rafael van der Vaart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marshall Wakefield was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The Glasston fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Glasston's Mete Golob looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24thth minute of the game Rafael van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darwin Saville FC's Marshall Wakefield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael van der Vaart struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Marshall Wakefield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasston. A collision led to Darwin Saville FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luke Skittrall hit a great ball. Marshall Wakefield stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael van der Vaart's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Rafael van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darwin Saville FC's Marshall Wakefield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael van der Vaart in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marshall Wakefield saved Darwin Saville FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Rafael van der Vaart sped through Darwin Saville FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marshall Wakefield. In the 37thth minute of the game Rafael van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darwin Saville FC's Marshall Wakefield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marshall Wakefield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Golob, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Rafael van der Vaart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marshall Wakefield was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The Darwin Saville FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glasston were winning 0-8.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raleigh Clack was the one to do the kick off. Luke Skittrall's late challenge caught a Glasston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luke Skittrall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Luke Skittrall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Darwin Saville FC's Marshall Wakefield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Glasston were awarded a corner. Tom Rheistein went to the cornerflag to take it. Rafael van der Vaart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Marshall Wakefield when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marshall Wakefield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Golob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Darwin Saville FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marshall Wakefield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael van der Vaart went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Glasston's Jagger Trevena shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marshall Wakefield but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Rafael van der Vaart kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marshall Wakefield. That made the score 0-13 in the 73 minute of play. With a little luck, Darwin Saville FC's Marshall Wakefield got control of the ball when György Németh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael van der Vaart blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marshall Wakefield having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Marshall Wakefield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael van der Vaart. Luke Skittrall was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Darwin Saville FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luke Skittrall hit a great ball. Mete Golob could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Marshall Wakefield made a huge save. Marshall Wakefield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Warren in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Marshall Wakefield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael van der Vaart. Rafael van der Vaart let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 82nd minute shot 0-14 at rihgt post. Rafael van der Vaart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Marshall Wakefield when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marshall Wakefield stood somewhat misplaced when Rafael van der Vaart came free in front of goal and shot 0-17 to the left of him in the 96 minute. Glasston's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
