Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) ITAMARATY's Virgílio Domingues started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgílio Domingues. Vladimír Veleta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimír Veleta saved ITAMARATY from getting behind. Virgílio Domingues took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Domingues in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Virgílio Domingues notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute, Ari Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimír Veleta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimír Veleta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisinho de Amaral in the 33rd minute. Vladimír Veleta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Patricio Costa made a precise shot to the right of Vladimír Veleta. ITAMARATY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho de Amaral got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vladimír Veleta made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Patricio Costa sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Domingues in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Virgílio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Domingues's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Peres in the 72nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Domingues in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Vladimír Veleta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimír Veleta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Domingues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. ITAMARATY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cássio Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
