Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) ITAMARATY's Virgílio Domingues started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Vladimír Veleta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. ITAMARATY's Vladimír Veleta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute ITAMARATY were awarded a corner. Chrisostomos Koutas went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 11th minute, Luisinho de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimír Veleta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgílio Domingues got free with Julio Vera in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimír Veleta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Luis Andino put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vladimír Veleta. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Madureira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Domingues in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 37th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Domingues in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were furious when Antonio Arias was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 42nd minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Sancho to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, ITAMARATY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Peres to maneuver through the defense. Vladimír Veleta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Andino in the 52nd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 57th minute of play forced ITAMARATY's goalkeeper Vladimír Veleta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by ITAMARATY's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ITAMARATY's Vladimír Veleta did a great save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cássio Peres went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 67th match minute, ITAMARATY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ari Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Domingues in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vladimír Veleta, passed just outside the right post. In the 74th minute, Felix Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimír Veleta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimír Veleta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ITAMARATY's Cássio Peres got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Cássio Peres off the ground. Cássio Peres hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Chrisostomos Koutas managed to get in a good position for a shot. ITAMARATY's supporters rose to their feet, but Chrisostomos Koutas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 played minutes ITAMARATY got a freekick which was hit by Chrisostomos Koutas.
