In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Wolfpack™'s goalkeeper Tibúrcio Carabajal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tibúrcio Carabajal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Camilo Gisbert in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Wolfpack™'s André Luiz Iniesta. In the 59th minute, Todor Barakovski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Antonio Arias fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Antonio Arias a yellow card for diving instead. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 90 played minutes The Wolfpack™ got a freekick which was hit by Cadwaladr Carabajal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Siteavu in the 93rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Siteavu in the 96th minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
