The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FC Unterrudling's Carolo Cambranes got a free kick in the 9th minute. FC Unterrudling's Karl Jemella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 15th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hong Li Chuan in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to FC Unterrudling getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Salvador Musacchio hit a great ball. With his leg Karl Jemella managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Karl Jemella. The goal made the score 1-0. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Jemella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milagros Fraga scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Jemella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Girotti came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, FC Unterrudling's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Karl Jemella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Karl Jemella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. FC Unterrudling's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
